What a fantastic season for Footrot Flats, the musical.
A huge round of applause goes to Michelle Cliff
and her team of dedicated cast, crew, committee and all supporters.
From fence battens to fresh scones, sheep's' wool to costumes, dance and music to lighting and art. It was superlative.
From the time the foyer artwork went on display, people were wanting to buy it. A decision was made that all proceeds from the artwork would go to Hato Hone St Johns.
A very worthwhile organisation to support and we are pleased to donate $200 from the sale of the artwork.

Ever heard of a Shakespearean Charcuterie?
Well, have we got a treat for you.
We were all impressed with the art work in Footrot Flats which was done by Owen Force.

Owen has done a myriad of theatre and art work and curated in art galleries in the US.
Now he is going to direct an ensemble of the Baird's most interesting extracts from a variety of Shakespearean plays.
Fancy a little Romeo and Juliet washed down with a brew of MacBeth and followed by a side of Richard III. Don't forget to finish with a touch of
All's Well that Ends Well.
Whatever Owen has in store for us he will be calling for expressions of interest in February 2024, with the intention of performing the Shakespearean extracts mid-year.
